Rams' Reasons for Choosing CSU

Sam Bietsch- "It's hard for me to say why I chose it. Honestly the second I stepped on campus I felt like I was home."

Allison Margaret Dyer Bluemel- "I've wanted to go to CSU since I was in the grade back when I was still in school in Salida, CO (where I'm from). When I moved out to CT for boarding school my sophomore of high school I still had an interest in going back west, but it wasn't until I toured at the end of my junior year that I decided it was my first choice. I just loved the attitude on campus (which sounds cliche) because of how open it seemed everyone was about what they loved and about learning new things. It felt like I wouldn't have to worry about doing something just because I wouldn't get along with the people and it didn't hurt that the campus was gorgeous. combined with the fact that I've had friends go there and have heard that classes are awesome and (from my memory of camp there two summers in row a while ago) the amount of things to do in the area were and incredible plus."

Brenna Klauer- "I chose to attend CSU for several reasons. I live in California and I wanted to go out of state because CA schools are impacted and it would take way too long to graduate. CSU has an amazing agricultural department and they make it easier to double major (I am majoring in ag. business and animal science), plus they offer great internships and help a lot with starting a career after you graduate. I felt very comfortable and at home both on the campus and in Fort Collins. The only downfall to CSU would be the tuition costs for out of staters but receiving the WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange) helped me out a a lot. I am excited to be a Ram in the Fall!"

James Allen- "A major reason why I chose it was because it was far enough from my parents, but still in a familiar area with the mountains. I don't know if that helps you, but that is a main reason I chose CSU."

Amanda N Bryant- "I chose CSU because of alot of reasons really, like: its environment, its surrounded by mountains and so much greenery haha; It's one of the top rated schools in the US; CSU has the best rate of my major; and CO is just freakin amazing."
